Keto Cream Cheese Peppers
This year I have tried to modify my diet and follow the Keto plan; and let’s face it over the last year I stress ate and added some extra pounds. My body always feels so much better when I cut out carbs and sugar. I love a good crunchy and filling snack. These Keto Cream Cheese Peppers have become a favorite appetizer to take to dinner or just have for a snack.
Ingredients
- 1- package of cream cheese
- 1- bag of bell paper (yellow, red, and orange)
- 2-3 green onions (diced into small pieces)
- 1/2 tsp Simply Organic garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt, or to taste
- ½ tsp ground black pepper or to taste
- 1 tsp dried parsley (optional -I prefer the Simply Organic parsley)
- 1/8 tsp of dill (optional- I prefer Simply Organic Dill)
- Paprika
Directions
- Take your cream cheese out of the refrigerator to soften. If you are in a hurry you can place it in the microwave for 15 seconds. (not my favorite option but, it works in a pinch).
- Next, wash small bell peppers, slice the tops off and slice down the middle removing seeds and extra meat then set to the side.
- After washing the green onions, dice them into fine pieces and set to the side.
- Take your cream cheese and place it in a bowl. Add the garlic, salt, pepper and green onion; then stir until well incorporated.
- Add a spoon full to each pepper half.
Optional: Sprinkle with paprika for an extra kick
Serve the Keto Cream Cheese Pepper as a side or just for a snack. This recipe is a favorite at our house, even with the kids.
